Making Space for Yourself

A Biodynamic Breathwork Journey

Always doing, organising and looking after everyone else?

This afternoon is for you.

Join Nikki from The Guided Breath and El from Eluminate Breathwork & Somatics for a guided Biodynamic Breathwork journey to slow down, reconnect with your body and breath, and create space for yourself.

Step away from the doing.

Let yourself pause.
Reconnect.
Simply be.

This experience is for anyone who feels constantly “on”, struggles to switch off, or rarely makes time for themselves.

Through conscious connected breathwork, movement and somatic awareness, you'll be invited to explore what is happening within you — at your own pace, with no pressure to achieve, perform or share.

No previous breathwork experience required.

Your afternoon includes:

  • Guided Biodynamic Breathwork

  • Somatic movement and body awareness

  • Space to rest, reflect and integrate

  • A supportive, trauma-aware and choice-led environment

You spend so much time making space for everything and everyone else.

This time, make some space for yourself.

Sunday 4 October | 1:00pm – 4:00pm

FAQs

What is Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System® (BBTRS®)?

Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System® (BBTRS®) is a body-based approach that combines conscious breathing with movement, sound, mindfulness, somatic awareness and, where appropriate and consented to, touch.

The practice is designed to support greater awareness of physical and emotional patterns and help the body move towards greater regulation and relaxation. Rather than focusing on reliving past experiences, BBTRS® works with what is happening in the body in the present moment, allowing you to explore sensations, emotions and patterns at your own pace.

What happens in a BBTRS® group session?

A typical group session may include:

  • Education about the nervous system and stress responses

  • Gentle movement

  • Guided conscious breathing

  • Sound and vocal expression

  • Somatic awareness

  • Time for rest, grounding and integration

Every session is different, and you are always encouraged to listen to your body and participate at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

What might I experience during a session?

Everyone's experience is different. You may notice:

  • Deep relaxation or a sense of calm

  • Emotional responses or a feeling of release

  • Physical sensations such as tingling, warmth or gentle trembling

  • Changes in your breathing or body awareness

  • New insights or a greater sense of self-awareness

Some people experience subtle changes, while others notice more pronounced physical or emotional sensations. There is no “right” experience, and you don't need to have a particular outcome for the session to be valuable.

Is BBTRS® suitable if I have experienced trauma?

BBTRS® is facilitated using a trauma-aware, choice-led approach that prioritises safety, consent and individual capacity.

You are never required to share personal experiences or push beyond what feels appropriate for you. You remain in control of your participation throughout the session, and you can pause, change or stop the practice at any time.

If you have a history of significant trauma or a diagnosed mental health condition, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether this type of breathwork is appropriate for you.

How might I feel after the session?

Everyone responds differently. You may feel relaxed, grounded, reflective or more aware of yourself and your body. Some people may feel tired or emotionally sensitive following a session.

We recommend allowing yourself some quiet time afterwards and supporting yourself with simple practices such as hydration, rest, gentle movement and avoiding a rushed schedule where possible.

How is BBTRS® different from fast, mouth-breathing styles of breathwork?

Some breathwork practices use rapid, continuous mouth breathing to create an intense physical or emotional experience.

BBTRS® takes a different approach. It focuses on awareness, choice, pacing and safety, rather than intensity for its own sake.

The practice may incorporate different breathing patterns alongside movement, sound, somatic awareness and mindfulness, with the intention of helping you stay connected to your body and experience throughout the session.

The goal isn't to chase a peak experience. It's to create a supportive environment where you can explore your breath and body at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

BBTRS® is about working with your experience, not forcing it.

You spend so much time making space for everything and everyone else - this time, make some space for yourself.
